Ignite Sport UK accredited to the Matrix Standard for its excellent services to learners and the development of blended learning approaches

Oxford based Ignite Sport UK, has been accredited to the matrix Standard, demonstrating the high quality of information, guidance and advice it provides to apprentices and students.

Ignite Sport UK is a registered training provider for sport and education qualifications. It works in further education, apprenticeships, and adult education in Oxfordshire and nationally. Founded in 1999 it employs more than 20 staff and delivers on-the-job training, face-to-face training, and online e-portfolios.

The matrix Standard is the international quality standard for organisations that deliver information, advice and guidance (IAG), either as their sole purpose or as part of their service offering. Ignite Sport UK was assessed on the support it provides at its home at Oxford City FC and across various community settings.

In the assessor’s report Ignite Sport UK was commended for the level and frequency of support it provided to learners and the development of blended learning approaches including launching a new online platform. The report also praised Ignite Sport UK for providing an “aspirational environment for learners” via a strong partnership with Oxford City FC.
