We’ve got something exciting to share with you!
Due to an increase in demand for vocational qualifications and training, we have created two divisions within Ignite Sport UK to provide greater clarity to clients of our core services.
Ignite Training will support businesses nationally to develop and upskill new and existing staff through our apprenticeship and adult education programmes in teaching, business, content production and sport.
Ignite Sport continues to provide coaching, school PE, community-based sports, 16+ education programmes and events.
The new re-ignited branding and service divisions have been established to help us continue to expand nationally and make our services more accessible to businesses and individuals. This exciting development builds on our 22 years in business in the training, education and apprenticeship sectors.
Justin Merritt, our Founder and CEO said: “This is a significant development in our business journey and will enable us to provide more apprenticeship training services nationally.
“By splitting our pre-existing business into clear divisions, it will make our services more accessible and enable us to develop more focused service delivery teams. Apprenticeship training and adult education are incredibly important services and provide valuable up-skill opportunities.
“We have experienced a significant shift in demand for vocational qualifications and workforce training. As employers increasingly realise the huge benefits of developing their staff we are able to support existing employees as well as new recruits. Developing knowledge skills and confidence is more accessible either as a CPD qualification or through our range of apprenticeship schemes. By creating a delineation of our core services, we will be better placed to serve the market.”
As part of the expansion, Sorcha Murphy has been appointed as our Business Development Manager while Mark Haining is Adult Education Manager.
UEFA A Licence coach Wayne Goss has also joined our team to deliver the Level 4 Sports Coach apprenticeship. Tutoring will be led by Head of Quality & Compliance and Lead Tutor Leigh Tomlinson.
The team will deliver apprenticeships from intermediate Level 2 to degree Level 5 and can assist with levy claims and employer incentives including the Government’s £3,000 cash bonus scheme which expires in January 2022.
Justin added: “We have developed a highly experienced team who are passionate about providing high quality apprenticeship training and adult education to help people develop their careers.
“This marks an exciting new chapter in which we will make apprenticeship training schemes more accessible to organisations. Apprenticeships deliver tremendous value for employers and employees and bring fresh ideas to a business, we’re proud to be helping boost the UK’s economic recovery via our training programmes.”
