Young football enthusiasts can learn from the skills of highly talented players over half-term and the summer holidays at Ignite Sport’s two-day Game Tech course.
Ignite’s experienced coaches will lead the delivery of Game Tech, acourse open to players of all abilities and experiences delivered onsite at The Raw Charging Stadium.
The programme comprises four key units within player development to advance their technical, physical, psychological, and social knowledge of the game.
Devised and developed by Justin Merritt and Oxford City FC Midfielder Josh Ashby, the May half term sessions will see guest sessions from Eddie Odhiambo and First Team Analyst, Dom Wheway.
Eddie said: “I’m looking forward to having the chance to work with young people and help them develop their abilities.
“The Game Tech sessions provide a wonderful opportunity for young players to develop their skills, learning from a team of experienced football professionals.
“I’m always blown away by the talent I see when these young players come onto the pitch and I’m pleased to be working with them to bring out their very best in a fun and friendly environment.”
Ignite Sport founder Justin Merritt encouraged enthusiastic young footballers to sign-up too, explaining the course will provide some invaluable training and tips, alongside theory workshops and group discussions.
He added: “Game Tech has grown hugely in popularity with most holidays selling out, thanks to our great facilities and inspiring team.
“The sessions next take place during half-term and throughout all school holidays.”
Since 1999, Ignite has been providing sport education, apprenticeship training, school PE, community sport and events.
There are still places available for Ignite’s Game Tech sessions this half term, with sessions open to girls and boys aged 12-13 and 14-16. The course takes place on the 30th and 31st May. There is limited availability, so sign up now to avoid disappointment. Spaces can be booked by clicking here.
