Ignite Sport expands HAF camps for children this summer at East & West Hendred CC and Oxford City FC

 Ignite Sport is expanding its Holiday, Activity and Food (HAF) offering further by holding two cricket camps aimed at children aged 8 to 14 during the summer holidays.  

Two camps will be held at East & West Hendred Cricket Club on 25th, 26th and 27thJuly and at Oxford City FC in Marston on 8th, 9th and 10thAugust. The sessions will run between 9am and 3pm on both days.  

Places are fully funded for families qualifying for HAF provision and the camps are delivered as part of our regular school holiday line-up. Cricket Camps start with a price of £28 per day or £75 for all three days.  

Originally launched with Manchester United and England footballer Marcus Rashford, HAF aims to engage and inspire children through sport and other activities while providing themwith a healthy and balanced meal during school holidays. 

The scheme is Government funded and Ignite has participated in the scheme since last year, with over a thousand children attending HAF activities during the Easter holidays.

Activities are focused on sport and art promote the development of essential life skills including teamwork, communication and problem-solving.

“HAF offers us the opportunity to make our camps accessible for all children and help with childcare needs during the holidays.  

“We are delivering football, art, dance and multisport at Oxford City FC and East Oxford Primary School in addition to these two new cricket camps so there is lots on offer and we look forward to welcoming children from across Oxfordshire this summer.”
